This home office contained about 20 years worth of old office supplies, papers, mail, and memorabilia. I worked with the client to sort each item into varying temporary storage containers for the following: trash, donations, papers to be filed, items that belonged elsewhere, and items that required some sort of action (ex: broken, returnable, belonged to a friend, etc). This client owns a business and also loves baseball, so it was important to him that his memorabilia be preserved. After the sorting and purging stage was complete, I was able to take those pieces and display them so that he and other visitors to the home can easily view and appreciate them.
